UNDENIABLE TRUTHS TO HUMAN FUNCTION, ADAPTATION, AND SURVIVAL
Functional Manual Therapy is used as a strategy to:
Movement heals. The human body was designed athletic, adaptive, and competitive with the ability to heal itself (with or without surgical intervention) at the cellular level relative to the patient's unique pathological condition. Creating a successful environment for the body with specific 3-D Movement strategies is paramount in facilitating restoration of function.
We eliminate pathology by treating the root of the problem, not the symptoms.
ASSESS and TREAT the BODY as an INTEGRATED UNIT with a TRUTH based ORTHOPEDIC LENSE.

Cause and effect. Movement is the end result, reaction, and direct response to a highly complex loading and sensory feedback process the body uses to turn on its sensory units (mechanoreceptors) to properly decelerate/slow down and stabilize integrated functional motion (transformational ZONING) in certain positions (transformational zones: TZ's) and the greatly compounded effects of gravity, momentum, inertia, and ground reaction forces that add to the complexity, technicality, and powerfulness of the end result, accelerated movement. We assess these loading points (TZ's) to see how the body reacts to handling the dynamically unstable three dimensional accumulated effects of the laws of physics in order that proper intervention of loadings, resistance, and movement patterns can be used, practiced, learned, and acquired as an expression of becoming more explosive.
Transformational zones are loading points in specific fundamental skills that the kinetic chain dynamically decelerates and stabilizes motion in while absorbing and using the effects of gravity, momentum, inertia, and ground reaction forces. Transformational zones are what we assess, emphasize, and improve performance in because they are where injuries take place and where the integration of the body's dynamic chain reactions begin, progress, adapt, and continually transform through.
In order to maximize performance, movement consistency and efficiency we will emphasize the intervention of authentic functional task, fundamental skill, and sport specificity. Transformational zones drastically change as a result of integrated movement sequencing improving.
The kinetic chain is a force producing integrated system of 206 bones, 300 muscles, and 700 joints that is linked together. The foundational of human movement is founded upon the principle of motor development, which is a multi joint integrated, interdependent system that is dynamically stabile, mobile, strong, and powerful enough to overcome and use the forces of gravity, momentum, inertia, and ground reaction forces.
The genesis of movement and the chain reaction (linked system) begin with the rear foot. The gateway of function begins, ends, and is continually loading and unloading through the chain reaction process driven and facilitated from the bottom up where the domino effect begins and driven by drivers from the top down to continually load and unloading in a combination of dimensions.
Cause and effect. We treat the root (cause) of pathology and injury, not the symptoms (effect) in order to create a successful solution in eliminating the problems source.
In today's medical world the patient has become a rehab/medical diagnosis and billing code. Our medical community has mutated into FACTORY MEDICINE, minimal time and minimal skilled care allotted to actually helping a patient get better with every patient with the same condition receiving the same solution. The rehab diagnosis is designed to easily provide a cookie cutter protocol for every person with the same medical condition. Being labeled a "Billing Code" is strictly for the purpose of reimbursement (clinician getting paid).
The human body's anatomy mutates due to the nature of acute injuries and chronic degenerative changes. Patients seen on a weekly basis range from 4-100 years old. Provided is a list of conditions we frequently see patients with.
